There were five students in the classroom where I worked today. Each working on different assignments, all with the same goal of being successful. Determination for each was on a different level. Their ages and experiences varied. Again all five were searching for success. Help me with this. When the immature seek success, do they even have the knowledge to describe what success looks like? Do they even know where to begin? Will their desire overtake their lack causing them to stubble upon success and if that is the case, will they recognize that they have obtained success? Or will they be completely oblivious to the fact that they have achieved their goal and let it simply pass them by as life has so many times?
Another of the four was full of anger, masking fear. It's as if his presence was saying, "If I am offensive and boisterous, what are the chances that you'll let me remain in the classroom? My bet is that you won't. Guess what? I win because I didn't have the aptitude for success and you fell for my hype.
Five men in the same classroom all at different places in their lives, all looking for success. Makes me think about Christians. We pray to the same God in Jesus name, all have ideas about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and religion. Some are loud, some quiet, some angry, some lacking certainty and like success, we're all wanting to go to heaven. Yep there's way more than five of us, yet Jesus saved us, the Holy Spirit speaks to us and God well, God created us and the master plan.
Just thinking and you're more than welcome to share your thoughts too.
Writing and observing are two of my favorite things to do. As I go along my day, I hope to share with you what I see or in some cases, what I hear.
